Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa names new general manager

Stephen Carter OBE has been appointed general manager of Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa.

Carter commences his role today and joins the resort in St Andrews, Scotland after eight years working with De Vere Hotels, including seven spent at Cameron House on Loch Lomond.

Carter was awarded an OBE in 2007 for his services to the hospitality industry, and won Caterer and Hotelkeeper’s Hotelier of the Year in 2011.

On his new role, he commented: “I am delighted to be joining the team at The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa and working with them, developing the success the resort is already renowned for; delivering a welcome and world class hospitality to the many visitors from home and abroad visiting Scotland and in particular this wonderful city of St Andrews.”
