Organic brands open and manage spas
A spate of organic skincare brands have opened their own salons and spas this autumn, with launches in the UK and overseas.
Organic spa brand Ila launched its first branded spa in India this month at the Raas hotel in Jodhpur.
Ila will operate the spa for the hotel under the brand name Ila Only, with plans to launch more under the same brand with other hotel partners in the future. “We will soon have further spa locations to announce,” confirmed founder Denise Leicester. Ila Only spas will specialise in natural but results-driven treatments, each inspired by the energy of its surroundings.
Separately, Pravera managing director Graeme Hume and training manager Esther Cooney opened their salon and retail concept The Bard’s Mistress in Stratford-upon-Avon this month.
While it is run as a separate business from Pravera, the salon uses the distributor’s Primavera and Lavera products alongside other natural brands including Benecos make-up and Viridian Nutrition. The salon also houses the first Primavera-branded training room.
Meanwhile essential oils brand Neal’s Yard has opened its first branded treatment rooms outside the UK. The Neal’s Yard Remedies Beauty Spa opened within Portugal’s Vivenda Miranda hotel. Within the UK, the British brand offers treatments in some of its stores.
