As the UK Spa Association launches, we talk to chairman Charlie Thompson about the driving factors behind its formation and the organisation’s plans for the future
Merging the UK’s two leading spa industry organisations, the Spa Business Association (SpaBa) and the British International Spa Association (Bisa) into one, the new UK Spa Association officially launched at Spatec Europe in Tenerife on April 25
Created wit the aim of unifying and growing the UK spa industry, chairman Charlie Thompson – head of health and beauty at Virgin Active and previously chair of SpaBa – explains that the new organisation will focus on the three key areas of education, accreditation/code of practice and market intelligence and access to industry knowledge.
