Viceroy to open Palm Jumeirah property

The Viceroy Hotel Group has announced the 2017 opening of a property on the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai.
Marking the hotel group’s first hotel in Dubai and the second in the UAE, the Viceroy Dubai Palm Jumeirah will feature 481 guest rooms and suites and 221 residences.
Bill Walshe, chief executive of Viceroy Hotel Group commented: “This property marks our first foray into the Dubai market and is a milestone in our growth in the region.”
The US$1bn (£662m) hotel will be designed by the New York and Toronto-based Yabu Pushelberg design studio and Tokyo-based designers NAO Taniyama and Associates and will offer a spa, a beach club, a 100m swimming pool and a variety of restaurants, among other amenities.
Viceroy operates a number of hotels and resorts around in the world, in locations including Abu Dhabi, Miami, New York, Palm Springs, the Maldives, Istanbul, San Francisco and St Lucia.
