Palomar Medical Technologies bought by Cynosure

Aesthetics machines brand Cynosure has acquired US-based hardware provider Palomar Medical Technologies, adding more than 40 patents to its portfolio.
The deal, which was finalised last month, was worth a reported $300 million (£195 million) and is expected to boost both Cynosure’s sales and its worldwide distribution.
Together, Cynosure and Palomar have more than 20,000 machines operating worldwide, and a distribution network stretching across 100 countries.
