PB Upskills (Feb 22–26): chemical peels, virtual skin consultations and salon plans post-lockdown

Our PB Upskills programme for February 22–26 will cover how to master virtual consultations, understanding melasma and creating your beauty salon or spa’s roadmap to reopening post-coronavirus lockdown.

We will also have a session on how fractional lasers can be combined with other treatments to optimise skin rejuvenation, as well as giving you the lowdown all things to do with chemical peels – from the different types to common contraindications.

What to expect from our PB Upskills series (February 22–26):

Monday 22 February  – 12pm – Facebook Premiere with Dr Nick Lowe – “Fractional lasers and combination treatments”

In this joint Professional Beauty and Aesthetic Medicine pre-recorded webinar, Dr Nick Lowe reviews the development of fractional lasers over the past 15-to-20 years to allow for safer and more uniform skin rejuvenation compared to previous laser delivery systems. This webinar also covers how fractional lasers can be combined with other treatments to optimise rejuvenation and restoration of the skin.

Please note that this webinar is pre-recorded (not live) and includes education for beauty therapists and more advanced options for doctors too.

Tuesday 23 February – 12pm – Practical Skills Live with Jody Adele Taylor – “Understanding melasma: treatment and control for clients”

A major concern for clients within salons is pigmentation issues within the skin. It can be hard to distinguish between dermal pigmentation or epidermal pigmentation, and the two can look and act alike and have similar causes.

In this Practical Skills session, Jody Adele Taylor, owner of Skin Deep salon in Doncaster, will take a closer look at dermal pigmentation to help you treat the condition in salon and prevent reoccurrence for your clients. There will be a 10-minute audience Q&A at the end where you can ask Taylor your burning questions.
