Professional Beauty Awards shortlist to be announced November 6

The finalists of the Professional Beauty Awards 2013 will be announced on November 6. Check back here to see which of the hundreds of entrants have made it to the shortlist.

The finalists of the World Spa & Wellness Awards 2013 will be announced on November 23.

Judges for both sets of award are currently reviewing and scoring all the online entries and the top scorers in each category will be put through to stage two.

The second judging stage involves visits, mystery shops, interviews and trade tests.

In all the spa and salon categories, finalists will be visited by a mystery shopper and also an announced visitor from the awards team. Both visitors will write reports. The independent judging panel will then discuss and score each finalist based on the feedback. 

For the individual practitioner categories, shortlisted finalists will be asked to attend a practical trade test in London. Each finalist will also be interviewed by the judges.

For the employer categories, all finalists will attend a judging deliberation day in London in January to make a presentation about their business and to be interviewed by the judging panel.

The shortlist for the employer category of the awards will be announced slightly later than those for the other categories – on November 23.

The final winners will all be announced during the black-tie awards night at Hilton on Park Lane, London, on February 24, 2013.
