Ros Grace retires from Guinot UK

Guinot UK managing director Ros Grace retired yesterday (May 30) after more than 35 years of heading up Guinot UK, originally as distributor R Robson and latterly as a subsidiary. Grace has been a figurehead for the brand, building its success in the UK and Ireland. No replacement has been appointed, but in the meantime, Guinot UK will be headed up by vice president Jean Francois Mondin, who is the son of Guinot's owner Jean-Daniel Mondin. Guinot has also appointed Nigel Dawson as franchise manager for the UK and Ireland to spearhead its planned roll-out of franchise salons. Dawson comes to Guinot following an eight-year career in franchise development, working for Boots and Dolland & Aitchison Opticians.  Prior to this he spent nine years as managing director of a distribution company.
