Rudding Park Spa launches star bathing experiences

Beginning in the New Year, Rudding Park Spa in Harrogate, UK, will launch “star bathing” and stargazing experiences.

Taking inspiration from a study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, which found that stargazing could have a positive impact on mental health, the spa has devised two packages.

The Rooftop Starlight Spa Experience includes access to several of spa’s facilities including the outdoor Roof Top Spa and Garden with a spa bath and hydrotherapy pool.

A Roof Top Spa telescope will offer guests the chance to take in wide-field views of comets, star fields, star clusters, galaxies, planets and the moon.

Guests can enhance the experience with a 50-minute bespoke treatment and relaxation time in the spa’s Escape Zone, where time-lapse stargazing footage is shown, or in the Sleep Zone, which has a “starlight” ceiling.

Meanwhile the Overnight Stargazing Experience includes a 30-minute introduction to stargazing with astronomer Richard Darn in Rudding Park’s cinema, in addition to Roof Top Spa access, dinner, an overnight stay and breakfast.
