Spa and salon management course launches in September
The University Certificate in Spa & Salon Management launches at the London School of Beauty & Make-Up (LSBM) at the end of September.
The course is a collaboration between the University of Derby, the only UK university to offer a spa management degree, and the LSBM – following the latter’s takeover by Urban Retreat founder George Hammer earlier this year.
The course is divided into three modules: 1) Understanding he industry – Spa, Salon & Beauty 2) Business, Finance and Operations and 3) Sales, Marketing & People Skills, each taking four months to complete.
The University Certificate in Spa & Salon Management is designed to provide a middle option between a full-time university degree and The Open University and to fill the gap in the market for spa and salon professionals qualified above an NVQ level 3. The three course modules are worth a total of 60 university credits.
