The Alila Jabal Akhdar resort opens in Oman

The Alila Jabal Akhdar resort has opened in Oman. The 78-suite and villa property has been built in accordance with sustainable principles and to the EarthCheck environmental benchmarking standards.

The hotel, which has made use of locally sourced materials, features a seven-treatment room Spa Alila. The spa, which also incorporates a whirlpool, a Vichy shower, a steam room and private courtyards makes use of fresh and natural ingredients in treatments.

Mark Edleson, president of Alila Hotels & Resorts, said: "Alila is delighted to have been chosen to manage this prestigious property in such a breathtaking location."

Dining outlets at the resorts include the Juniper restaurant, serving Arabic and international cuisine, and the Rose lounge.

Alila Hotels & Resorts, established in Indonesia a decade ago, currently operates eight properties, with a further 25 in development – seven of which are set to open in the next two years.
