Salon Services raises £63,000 for children’s charity

Wholesaler Salon Services has raise some £63,000 for its charity partner The Little Princess Trust, more than doubling its original target of £25,000.

The Little Princess Trust provides children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment with wigs, and Salon Services undertook a number of fundraising projects across its stores, including its #BadHairDay campaign which encouraged customers to upload pictures of themselves with bad hair to social media and make a donation to the charity.

Monica Glass, charity manager for The Little Princess Trust, thanked Salon Services for their continued support. “This is a truly significant amount of money and will go a long way in helping to relieve some of the stress and pain for children at what is a difficult time for them,” she said.

The celebrate Salon Service’s achievement in raising the money, managing director Richard Hull challenged himself to complete the 1,600m zipwire in Wales, the longest in Europe. “We’re delighted to be able to present The Little Princess Trust with this money, and help support the fantastic work they do,” he said. “Our staff have done some amazing activities to raise money, which has allowed us to smash our target, even if it did mean I had to fly 500ft above the Welsh countryside.”
