Lash Festival competition seeks UK's most talented lash artists

In a bid to find and celebrate the most talented lash technicians in the world, The Eyelash Emporium is running its annual Lash Festival competition for the fourth year.

The competition is designed to celebrate the best lash artists as experts in their field. For the first time since its conception, this year the brand is actively encouraging technicians trained in brands other than The Eyelash Emporium to enter, as well as it’s own trained techs.

There are three categories: Individual, xD Volume and Ultimate Volume, of which there will be a first, second and third place winner for each along with 10 finalists. A panel of judges will decide on the finalists, which this year includes Professional Beauty assistant editor Georgia Seago and The Eyelash Emporium head trainer Donna Bell as well as other industry experts. Judges will be looking for design, style, structure and creativity. The final winner voting stage will go to a public vote on the Lash Festival website.

Lash Festival is free to enter for qualified techs trained in and using any extension brand, by submitting two photographs of their work in one category to the Lash Festival website.

Winners will receive a trophy, certificate, Medium, xD or Ultimate Volume kit depending on category and a Glamcor lamp. Second place winners will receive a certificate and a Medium, xD or Ultimate Volume Kit depending on category; and third place winners will receive a certificate and Small Kit. Finally, the top 10 finalists will receive a certificate and £25 EE gift voucher.

The competition is open for entries now and closes on November 13. Finalists will be announced on November 21, and the winners revealed on December 16.
