The Hyatt Regency Tianjin East opens in China
The Hyatt Regency Tianjin East has opened in the northern Chinese city of Tianjin. Marking a return for the Hyatt Regency brand, 28 years after the company made its debut in China in the same city, the hotel features 306 rooms and suites.
Amenities at the hotel, which occupies a 25-storey building in downtown Tianjin, include a spa, a fitness centre and a swimming pool. The Yue Spa features three foot massage rooms and six spa suites, including a couple’s room with a private whirlpool, as well as a hydrotherapy area. The philosophy at the spa fuses holistic Chinese healing practices with indulgent spa treatments, incorporating Aromatherapy Associates products.
Larry Tchou, group president, Asia Pacific for Hyatt Hotels, said: "Tianjin welcomed Hyatt’s first-ever hotel in China back in 1986, and ever since, it has been a very important market for us. We are excited and honoured to return the Hyatt Regency brand here.”
Among the other facilities at the hotel are three dining outlets and nearly 2,000sq m of meeting and events space.
