The spa at Seaham Hall launches Cancer Touch Therapy treatments
UK boutique hotel Seaham Hall has introduced a series of Cancer Touch Therapy spa treatments.
The treatments, launched in collaboration with skincare brand Made for Life Organics, are designed to be suitable for clients currently undergoing treatment for or recovering from cancer.
Serenity Spa at Seaham Hall, located on the Durham coast in the Northeast of England, now offers a selection of three Cancer Touch Therapy treatments.
Treatments include the soothing Catch the Breath head, back and shoulder massage, incorporating rebalancing Chinese Tui Na massage techniques. There is also the Soothe & Nurture facial, designed to restore glow and featuring a relaxing face and scalp massage.
Hand on Heart is a head, face, back and shoulders treatment that incorporates a facial and a massage and is available as 60 or 90-minute options.
Made for Life Organics is part of the Made for Life Foundation, which aims to improve the life of those diagnosed with cancer, and their carers.
The Made for Life Foundation also trains therapists on how to deliver safe treatments for clients at any stage of cancer, as part of a programme developed in collaboration with Macmillan Cancer Support.
Spa director Davina Hassell said: “I’m delighted with the very comprehensive training we have received from the Made for Life team.
"We’ve already been overwhelmed by the response from cancer sufferers, and those in recovery, who have previously been turned away from other spas.”
The 4,088sq m Serenity Spa features 17 treatment rooms, a swimming pool, outdoor whirlpools, a hammam, samarium, granite steam room, and ice fountain, among other facilities.
