The spa at The InterContinental London – The O2 to partner with Espa
The spa at The InterContinental London – The O2 has announced a partnership with leading British skincare brand Espa.
The spa, set to open alongside the rest of the 18-floor hotel within the next two months, will span 1,000sq m and feature eight treatment rooms.
Facilities at the spa will include a 17-metre swimming pool, a whirlpool, a relaxation room and a sauna and steam room. Hasham Soliman, general manager of InterContinental London – The O2, said:
"It was vital we provided a full range of relaxation and beauty therapies to complement the relaxing space, and Espa’s world-class signature products, treatments and reputation made them the natural choice for us.”
Espa founder Susan Harmsworth said: “It is an honour to be the official [spa] brand partner to the hotel.”
Drawing on the maritime heritage of the Greenwich area, the spa décor uses materials and finishing touches such as timber, gilding and blue pearl granite, to relate back to elements such as naval ships, dockyards and the ocean.
Soliman said: “We’ve taken great care with the design of the spa to create an oasis of calm that invites guests to sink into the depths of the space, like an underwater cavern.”
The InterContinental London – The O2 will be operated by property company The Arora Group, under a franchise agreement with the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).
