Therapie invests £50 million in UK clinic roll out despite Brexit

Advanced skincare clinic group Thérapie Clinic has announced a £50 million expansion.

Sibling owners Katie and Philip McGlade, who serve as managing director and chief executive respectively, plan to use the investment to open 100 new UK sites over the next three years.

Thérapie opened its first England clinic in June last year, in Newcastle’s Metro Centre. This marked the 23rd site in the group’s portfolio, with the other clinics based in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Since then, Thérapie has added eight more clinics including four in London. The company projects the new planned sites will create over 1,500 jobs.

The owners say they are “braving Brexit” with the expansion plans, while many other businesses are focused on relocation plans outside of the UK.

Managing director Katie McGlade commented: “At a time of national instability, we feel incredibly grateful to be planning our 100 store roll out plan and to be bringing the world’s most advanced laser hair removal and skin treatments to a whole host of new customers across the UK and Ireland.”

Thérapie offers a wide range of non-surgical aesthetic treatments including laser hair removal, injectables and skin treatments.
