Anna Teal to replace Tracey Woodward at Aromatherapy Associates
Aromatherapy Associates chief executive Tracey Woodward has announced she is to step down from her role.
Woodward will continue to serve in her role until December 31 and will stay on with the brand as a consultant and ambassador until the end of March 2019 as she hands over to new CEO Anna Teal.
Teal will officially take over Woodward’s responsibilities from the end of 2018. Teal is currently vice president and global business development director of global brands at Walgreens Boots Alliance.
She brings over 20 years of beauty industry experience to Aromatherapy Associates, having held positions in retail, branding, mergers and acquisitions and strategy development.
Woodward leaves to pursue other ventures. Commenting on her departure, she said: “I am delighted to handover the brand to Anna, we have worked together for many years on projects throughout our careers and I know that I leave this precious brand in capable hands with the support of the global team. I truly believe that Aromatherapy Associates will continue to lead the way in aromatherapy, self-care and wellbeing.”
Teal said: “I am delighted and feel very privileged to be able to take on this role from Tracey, to whom I am incredibly appreciative for the care she has taken to restore the brand and get it to the place it is in today. The brand carries a very powerful heritage and purpose which is increasingly relevant in today’s modern world.”
