Underground spa opens in former bank vault in Bristol

A new underground spa set within old bank vaults has opened in Bristol in the UK.

The Bristol Harbour Hotel’s spa is set within the former vaults of two banks on Corn street which have been merged, with the original features, such as the vault doors, maintained and restored, while creating an “urban retreat” for hotel guests and locals.

The spa comprises seven treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room, relaxation areas and a state-of-the-art gym, as well as an indoor pool with low-level lighting and hydrotherapy pool.

The treatment menu features a range of Espa holistic and advanced facials and signature Harbour treatments, including the 160-minute Ocean Spa Ritual which relaxes the client from head to toe.

The spa is also offering six different types of membership, ranging in price from £70 to £175, as well as spa days and breaks.

The Bristol Harbour Hotel, which sits above it, is a 16th Century Georgian building with 42 bedrooms. It's part of luxury hotel group Harbour Hotels, which owns 13 coastal, country and city locations in the UK.
