University of Derby to host spa conference
The University of Derby will host The Buxton Spa and Wellness Conference 2014 next week.
The one-day event will take place on Thursday October 30 and will feature speakers, interactive workshops and a gala dinner.
The keynote speaker will be Amber Beard, vice president, sustainability, at Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas, who will share tips and advice on the topic of sustainability. Jeremy Smith of consultancy Blue Spa & Leisure will also speak.
Meanwhile, the workshops will be chaired by Leon Trayling, spa director at Scotland’s Blythswood Square, Steiner’s Jennifer Hirst, and spa consultant Nicola Stott.
Delegates will be encouraged to network, contribute to debates and discuss recent research.
The event will take place in The Devonshire Dome, home to the MA International Spa Management programme and the University’s commercial day spa, the Devonshire Spa.
