Vivienne Westwood to help teach Val Garland make-up course

Fashion designer Vivienne Westwood and photographer Nick Knight have joined the Val Garland School of Make-up, an online training course being launched in May.

The course, part of a programme by online fashion course provider Mastered, has been designed for rising make-up professionals and will admit 1,000 students.

Fashion make-up artist Val Garland (above left) will lead the course and teach students skills in both make-up application and how to make it in the fashion industry. Garland will set briefs for students and advise them on how to build a fashion portfolio.

Vivienne Westwood and Nick Knight will be guest experts, sharing their knowledge with students via live Q&A sessions. Other experts will include the editors of i-D magazine and managers of make-up artist agent Streeters.
