Wahanda launches training academy for spas and salons

Beauty bookings website Wahanda has announced the launch of a business skills training initiative for spas and salons.

The Wahanda Academy will run twice-weekly free seminars in cities across the UK, and will also make the training available online in the form of video tutorials and webinars.

Areas covered will range from sales and marketing strategies, to brand building, social media management and advice on CRM systems. Training will also address how to get the most out of Wahanda and its salon software, Connect.

Lopo Champalimaud, chief executive and founder of Wahanda, said: “I am delighted that we will be able to offer this support to all the spas and salons that we work with, to help them maximise their business potential.”

Wahanda has recruited Valerie Delforge, whose 25 years in the spa and beauty industry includes being head of UK spa operations at Steiner, regional manager for L'Occitane, spa manager at Urban Retreat at Harrods and area managers for Clarins UK, to head up the academy.

Champalimaud said: “Valerie, through her extensive experience, is fantastically well placed to help hair and beauty businesses drive growth and improve operational efficiency.”
