Wahanda launches business training Academy

Wahanda is to launch The Wahanda Academy, giving salons the opportunity to receive expert training on sales and marketing as well as key operational areas.

The company will run free seminars twice a week in key UK cities, which will help participants get the most out of Wahanda and its salon software, Connect.

There will also be education on wider marketing platforms, including CRM, social media and brand building. Wahanda will also make the material available online in a digital platform for the academy, to allow salons and spas to access and receive training at their convenience, via videos, tutorials and webinars.

Valerie Delforge has joined the company as head of academy. She brings 25 years of experience in the beauty industry, having worked for Clarins, Urban Retreat and L’Occitane. Delforge also previously ran her own business, and so recognises the various challenges owners and managers are facing, says Wahanda.

“Valerie, through her extensive experience, is fantastically well placed to help hair and beauty businesses drive top line growth and improve operational efficiency,” said Lopo Champalimaud, CEO and founder of Wahanda. “I am delighted that we will be able to offer this support to all of the spas and salons that we work with to help them maximise their business potential.”
