Harrods to open Wellness Clinic next month
London department store Harrods is set to open a 10,500sq ft Wellness Clinic on May 15, as a separate venture to its fifth-floor Urban Retreat spa.
Located on the fourth floor of the Knightsbridge store, the clinic will offer “an integrated approach to wellness and beauty”.
It will comprise 14 treatment rooms, a consultation room, two fitness studios for personal training and a skin analysis room incorporating the Vectra M3, a 3D imaging system.
It will offer a combination of aesthetic and holistic treatments including cryotherapy in the 111 Cryo chamber, and vitamin infusions administered by vitamin drip specialist The Elixir Clinic. Infusion options will range from drips designed specifically for jetlag and mood elevation, to immune system boosts.
The clinic will be partnering with a selection of high-profile practitioners, including personal trainer Louise Parker, known for her weight-loss programme The Method, and her team of nutritionists and fitness instructors.
Chiropractor and posture specialist Dr Ben Carraway is also scheduled to work with the clinic, as is acupuncturist Ross Barr, whose areas of expertise include five elements acupuncture.
The clinic is additionally partnering with Gen Identity, a DNA skincare service offering personalised skincare based on each client’s genetics. It will also host a series of guest practitioners from around the world, including the New York Dermatology Group, which will offer its signature Triad Medical Facial.
Dr Barbara Sturm, whose services will include platelet-rich plasma treatments – drawing on proteins in the client’s own blood for rejuvenation – will also be working with the Wellness Clinic in a guest practitioner capacity.
Other guest practitioners will include oculoplastic surgeon Dr Maryam Zamani, offering her signature anti-ageing Tri Eye Rejuvenation treatment.
Skincare will range from doctor-led lines such as NYDG Skincare from the New York Dermatology Group and Zamani’s MZ Skin, to brands from Harrods’s beauty halls.
