Wellness programme for kids launches at Six Senses Spa at Porto Elounda, Crete

The Six Senses Spa at the Porto Elounda Golf & Spa Resort and the Elounda Peninsula All Suite Hotel in Crete has introduced a wellness programme for children.

The three-day programme is designed to educate children between five and 12 on the importance of wellness in a fun, interactive way. Lasting three hours a day, the programme covers nutrition workshops, spa and beauty treatments and healthy living workshops.

The programme, which is available every day expect Sundays, takes places at the 700sq m Kids Ark, a space created specifically for kids and teenagers and available to guests at both hotels.

Indoor Kids Ark facilities include activity rooms, classrooms, a treatment area, a pool and a kitchen. The 4,000sq m outdoor area features an eco gym, a labyrinth garden, a pool, a meditation cave and the Hippocrates garden.

Programme sessions include a lesson on plants and herbs in the garden and time spent in the eco gym. Participating children will also get the chance to paint nails, carry out a foot scrub, learn about bees and the use of honey and help mix organic beauty products.

Treatments offered at the 2,200sq m Six Senses Spa include ayurveda aromatherapy full body treatments, shiatsu, Indian head massage, the Queen Bee Firming Facial with honey and royal jelly, hammam treatments, homeopathy and a series of body wraps.

There is also a medi-spa element, with the spa offering health checkups, healthy nutrition and exercise-based retreats and weight management programmes.
