Wellness travel forecast for 2013 released

Wellness Tourism Worldwide (WTW) has named health-focused hotels, digital detoxes, an emphasis on sleep, spiritual quests and nature centric holidays among its top 10 wellness travel trends for 2013.
Other trends predicted to emerge strongly within the wellness travel field this year is intergenerational family travel, indigenous healing traditions and wellness in the airline industry.
The forecast was compiled based on a combination of market data, including analysis of consumer and B2B surveys, feedback from travel industry operators and research carried out by the WTW – an organisation dedicated to the promotion and development of wellness tourism worldwide.
WTW founder Camille Hoheb commented that: “We are looking at wellness domains that contribute to better traveller experiences and we think this forecast will encourage individuals and industries to expand their perception of wellness and improve quality of life.”
