“What is manscaping?” among biggest male grooming questions from 2021

Searches relating to men’s salon treatments are on the rise, with "What is manscaping?" among the top male grooming searches in 2021, according to new research.

The stats indicate positive news for waxers and laser practitioners, with hair removal questions dominating the top 10.

“Why do we have pubic hair?” was 2021’s most searched for question. The research, from razor brand Wilkinson Sword, found the question had been searched on Google once every 24 minutes over the last year, with 21,600 searches.

Pubic hair seems to face a lot of questions from men in the UK, with six of the top 10 google searches based on the subject.

“How to shave balls” was the second most searched for question, with 16,800 searches, or one every 31 minutes.

Other highly searched male grooming queries were chest hair-based, with “how to grow chest hair” and “how to trim chest hair and make it look natural” hitting 3,000 and 720 searches respectively.
