2017 World Luxury Spa Awards winners announced

Heavenly Spa by Westin at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali; Anazoe Spa, Costa Navarino; and Mandara Spa, Dubai were some of the winners at the 2017 World Luxury Spa Awards.

The three spas were all among the resort’s global winners, with Heavenly Spa crowned Luxury Wellness Spa, Anazoe Spa winning Luxury Eco Spa and Mandara Spa named Luxury Urban Escape.

The awards comprise 32 categories, recognising spas on a global, continent, regional and national level, and also recognising spa professionals around the world. This year’s continent winners included Espa Life at Corinthia as Luxury Fitness Spa, Europe;

Grand Velas Riveria Maya Spa as Luxury Destination Spa, North America; and Kurotel Longevity Medical Center and Spa as Luxury Wellness Spa, South America.

Among the 2017 regional winners were Anantara Spa at Anantara Hua Hin Resort as Luxury Hideaway Spa, South East Asia; Hotel Tylösand as Luxury Resort Spa, Northern Europe; and ShuiQi Spa and Fitness s Luxury Resort Spa, Middle East & North Africa.

Country winners included ESPA at Resorts World Sentosa as Luxury Resort Spa, Singapore; GOCO Spa Venice as Luxury Resort Spa, Italy; and Lanserhof Tegernsee as Luxury Medical Spa, Germany.

The list of spa managers honoured around the world included Helena Grzesk, spa director at The Spa At The Midland hotel in Manchester. 

Spas can put themselves forward for the awards, or be nominated by guests. All entrants are vetted by a global panel of spa consultants.
