Chinese hotel group Ahn Luh Resorts & Residences is expanding its presence in the country, with the launch of two new high-end resorts over the next two years. Ahn Luh Lanting is set to open in the autumn of 2014, while Luh Zhujiajiaoi is expected to be ready for business in the spring of 2015.
Situated in the northeastern city of Shaoxing, Ahn Luh Lanting will feature 99 rooms, located across 35 historical houses, all designed in the Hui style and in some cases dating as far back as to the 17th century. Amenities at the hotel will include a spa and a wellness centre, as well as a medical facility, a thai chi centre and several restaurants. Culinary options at the hotel will include Chinese dining.
Adrian Zecha, co-founder of hotel management group GHM, which launched Ahn Luh in collaboration with the Beijing Tourism Group and the Great Ocean Group in May 2012, said: “Through the plans and designs for Ahn Luh Lanting, we see the soul of what we envisioned for the Ahn Luh brand.”
Ahn Luh Resorts & Residences has entered into a management contract with the Qinsen Group for the two properties. Both hotels will feature artwork and furniture pieces from the large collection of Qinsen Group chairman Qin Tongqian.
Opening in a historic area of Shanghai in the spring of 2015, Luh Zhujiajiaoi will comprise 35 villas, built in accordance with traditional Chinese architecture. This property will also contain a spa and a thai chi centre, in addition to a museum and a number of restaurants.
