David Llloyd Leisure launches new spa and wellness facilities at Chigwell site

David Llloyd Leisure is set to unveil new spa and fitness facilities at its club in Chigwell, Essex, following a £3.4million (US$5.7m) investment in the club. 

The new facilities, due to be completed in the autumn, will include a wet spa area with two pools, several steam rooms, a relaxation area and a spa garden. 

Among the other additions to the club will be a new gym, complete with three exercise studios and two physiotherapy rooms. 

The existing outdoor pool terrace and bar and indoor pool facilities are also being updated as part of the revamp, as is the reception area and the club’s changing rooms and badminton courts. 

Gail Sainsbury, general manager of David Lloyd Chigwell, said: “We are very excited to be able to offer the Chigwell community these stunning new facilities for the whole family, which will support them in their health and fitness goals, as well as providing a superb environment in which to relax and unwind from the stresses of everyday life."

The injection of funds into the Chigwell site is part of a £50m (US$84 m) investment in the David Lloyd club portfolio.
