March opening for the Bahamas' Baha Mar resort

The luxury Baha Mar development is set to open its doors in the Bahamas on March 27. 

The property will feature four hotels: Baha Mar Casino & Hotel, Rosewood at Baha Mar, Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar and SLS Lux at Baha Mar. The four hotels will together provide 2,200 hotel rooms. 

Among the many facilities in the complex will be a 2,787sq m Espa spa. Among the provisions at the spa will be a gym, fitness studios and classes including yoga and Zumba. 

The spa menu will include a “manicure and mojitos” option and the chance to tailor-make your own massage. 

Paul V Pusateri, chief operating officer for Baha Mar, said: “We are thrilled to welcome our first guests to ‘the new Riviera’ in time for the peak spring travel weeks.” 

Baha Mar wil feature the largest casino in the Caribbean, as well as a host of bars, restaurants and lounges, shopping amenities, a wildlife sanctuary, a Racquet Club by Peter Burwash International, TPC at Baha Mar - a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course - indoor and outdoor events facilities, and more. 

Guests will also be able to participate in a range of water-based activities, including snorkelling and diving.
