The Barn, Somerset, announces expansion plans

Somerset beauty salon The Barn has announced plans to relocate and expand in 2014.  The three-treatment room salon, owned by Kelly Hooper, will move to a new site four miles away, which is currently being renovated.

The new salon, which will also be in a converted barn, will have five treatment rooms and a relaxation room, and Hooper says it will be an upgrade from the existing salon, with a more luxurious finish. It is currently set to open in summer 2014.

Hooper also plans to launch The Barn’s own product range, to coincide with the relaunch of the salon. The range will include body and bath products, oils, candles and rooms fragrances, and Hooper says that it will be “natural, with a Thai edge”, in line with The Barn’s brand. “It’s all about the little touches with us,” Hooper said.

Hooper also hopes to open a city salon in Bristol, focused on skin mapping, express treatments and retail, although she says plans for that are on hold until after relaunch of The Barn next summer.
