Underwater art exhibition launches at Per Aquum's Maldives resorts

An underwater art exhibition has opened at two of the Per Aquum resorts, the Huvafen Fushi and the Niyama in the Maldives.

The Phantasy Fairytale exhibition, showcasing work by artist Andreas Franke, features photographic pieces sealed in Plexiglass and stainless steel frames and submerged in water.

Drawing inspiration from folklore, the images depict fairytale characters, including Snow White, Little Red Riding Hood and The Last Unicorn. On display until the end of May, the work can be seen from the Lime Spa at Huvafen Fushi and from underwater music club Subsix at Niyama.

Pieces on display at Huvafen Fushi are on sale for US$12,000 (£7,210) each, while the larger Niyama artworks can be purchased for US$15,000 (£9,013) a piece. The exhibition forms part of Per Aquum’s Dream Calendar of events.
