Akaryn Hotel Group launches four-week wellness programme
Boutique Thai hotel group Akaryn has partnered with a leading medical professional on a tailor-made programme centred around mental health.
Akaryn Hotel Group is collaborating with psychotherapist Dirk Stikker on the four-week Mastermind 2.0 programme, available at two of its properties in Thailand.
The in-depth wellbeing programme is based on a type of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) known as cue exposure therapy.
As part of this type of CBT, Stikker will “identify physical, emotional and psychological responses by underlining behavioural patterns”, the hotel group explained in a statement.
In addition to therapy sessions, the programme also comprises spa sessions and a customised nutrition plan. Mastermind 2.0 is available at Aleenta Phuket Resort & Spa and Alenta Hua Hin Resort & Spa.
Stikker said: "We selected Aleenta Resorts to host Mastermind 2.0 in Thailand because we felt a real synergy with the two beach locations, especially with the brand's innovative wellness philosophy and personalised service to each guest.
“The relaxing, private atmosphere at Aleenta Hua Hin and Aleenta Phuket make both resorts ideal for participants looking to focus on regaining their physical and emotional balance."
Akaryn explained that the locations were chosen to “take the programme out of the sterile and liming environment of a clinic”.
Akaryn managing director and founder Anchalika Kijkanakorn said: “At Aleenta Phuket, our Ayurah Spa & Wellness Centre offers relaxing, indulgent treatments and takes a more medical, results-oriented approach to wellness.
“In Hua Hin we combine home-grown herbs with holistic treatments to offer more of an essential Asian spa experience.”
