Amy Senior wins Jane Iredale National Student Make-up Competition

Jane Iredale’s National Student Make-up Competition has been won by Amy Senior from White Rose School of Health and Beauty, Barnsley.

Following more than 200 entries, six beauty therapy and make-up student finalists were selected to demonstrate their skills using Jane Ireldale products in the live final at distributor iiaa’s head office in London.

The theme for 2016 was “Make-up from around the World”, which prompted a wide variety of looks from the students.

Amy Senior was chosen by the judges as the overall winner as she impressed judges with her native American-inspired make-up look.

Senior said her look was inspired by some creative feathers she saw in her store room, which helped her to develop the winning idea. "A lot of hard look went into the look, so I'm chuffed,” she added. “The training I received as part of being was a finalist was great and I loved learning about the new techniques.”

As her prize, Senior received £1,000 worth of Jane Iredale products, four days of intensive training and a day’s work experience.

Second place went to Nicolle Williams of East Surrey College and third to Jodie Leah Griffiths of Walsall College.
