Aromatherapy Associates and Groupon to sponsor National Spa Week

The UK Spa Association has announced the signing of two sponsors for this year’s National Spa Week.

National Spa Week 2017, taking place October 30-November 5, will be sponsored by skincare brand Aromatherapy Associates and bookings platform Groupon. 

Lisa Barden, UK Spa Association board member for National Spa Week, said: “We are proud and excited to confirm Aromatherapy Associates and Groupon as sponsors.”

The UK Spa Association plans to, with the help of the two sponsors, continue to grow the event, building on the success of the week in 2016. 

Last year’s National Spa Week saw participation by over 320 spas and salons across the country. The objective this year is to sign up more than 1,000 businesses all over the UK.

The concept behind the weeklong event is to grow awareness of the spa industry among consumers and bring the benefits of spas, and of regular treatments, to their attention. 

Barden said: “The goal is to drive more people into more spas more often and educate the public [on the fact] that going to a spa or salon shouldn’t be viewed as a one-off annual luxury.

“Instead it should be a regular and essential investment in physical and emotional wellbeing, just like gym attendance.” Tracey Woodward, chief executive of Aromatherapy Associates, said: “We are delighted to sponsor National Spa Week 2017.

“We believe that finding time for ourselves gives our mind, body and soul time to recharge and refocus; which is important for our mental and physical health.

The UK Spa Association offers participating spas and salons a range of support material, including promotional vouchers, e-shot templates, press release templates, posters and flyers. 

The association is also encouraging suppliers to participate in the week, by offering clients product discounts during the event
