BTS at the 2018 PB Awards Make-up Specialist of the Year judging day
We were joined by three make-up industry pros for the Professional Beauty Make-up Specialist of the Year 2018 judging day.
Held at the London College of Beauty Therapy (LBCT) campus in central London, six finalists – Camilla Collins, Clare Pearson, Rachael Divers, Samantha Lyann, Sita Gill and Suzanne Christie – had one hour to create a wearable look inspired by spring/summer ’18 catwalks.
Carolyn Deacock, a freelance MUA and pro team trainer for Airbase, and Hannah Wing, also a freelance MUA and owner of Bellus Femina make-up studio, acted as floor judges and kept a close eye on the finalists as they got to work.
When the hour was up the models were inspected and judged by MUA Armand Beasley, our curtain judge for the day.
The last task for our finalists was a 10-minute interview with all three of the judges, in which they were asked to talk through their moodboard and inspiration behind the look they chose to create. They also had to answer questions about why they should be crowned PB’s 2018 Make-up Specialist of the Year.
The winner will be announced at the Awards on Sunday, February 25 at Tobacco Dock in London.
