The Carlton Rezidor group has taken over two existing hotels in the Tunisian city of Sousse. The two properties, located next to each other, will undergo renovations and are set to reopen under new Radisson Blu branding in the second quarter of 2016.

The 130-room Radisson Blu Pearl Resort will feature a spa and fitness area, two swimming pools, five restaurants and two bars, while the 217-room Radisson Blu Resort & Spa will include an outdoor pool, three restaurants and several bars. Both hotels will offer beach access and ocean views.

Wolfgang M. Neumann, president and chief executive of Rezidor, said: "We are delighted to further strengthen our portfolio in Tunisia where we are already present in Djerba and Hammamet. At the same time, these signings underline our commitment to the African continent where we now operate and develop 50 hotels."
