Ceri Silk joins Saks as head of beauty

Salon group Saks has announced the appointment of Ceri Silk as head of beauty.

Following the departure of Kirsty Jewson who left earlier this year, Silk will focus primarily on the development of the brand’s standalone beauty salon business model and express beauty concept, launching in November.

Silk was previously employed by Saks in 2002 as a key member of the management team responsible for setting up and managing the Saks London Training Academy. She was also involved in training the brand’s network of 100+ salons.

She then went on to develop her career as creator of the Glow Spa beauty medi-spa in Hong Kong. She regularly contributes to industry journals and is a guest speaker at international beauty expos.

Silk commented on her appointment saying: “I’m thrilled to be reunited with the forward-thinking team of experts at Saks. I gained a wealth of experience with the brand previously, which I then employed to build an award-winning beauty business in Asia. I’m now back and delighted to be sharing my passion and vision to expand the prestigious Saks Beauty brand.”
