Corinthia Hotel London names Aysun Mut new spa director

Mut has been with Corinthia Hotel London for seven years, taking on a number of roles in that time, including that of interim spa director.
Originally joining the hotel during the pre-opening stage, she played a key part in the opening process and was instrumental in creating the property’s food and beverage offering.
Mut has for the last four years has been director of food and beverage at the hotel.
She brings extensive experience to her new position, including working within the spa and food and beverage departments at a range of hospitality properties around the world.
Thomas Kochs, managing director of Corinthia Hotel London, said: “I am delighted that Aysun is taking the lead at Espa Life.
“She not only brings a wealth of experience in leading large teams, but also a professional and personal passion for spas, health, wellbeing and the concept of mindfulness. She will be a great asset to what is a key facility in the hotel.”
Mut’s remit as spa director will include driving the Espa Life concept and ensuring standards at the award-winning spa always reflect Corinthia’s five-star ethos.
Sue Harmsworth, chairman and founder of Espa, for which Espa Life at Corinthia is the flagship spa, said: “I am confident that Espa Life will continue to flourish under Aysun’s direction.”
Commenting on her appointment, Mut said: “I’m looking forward to taking on this important role, particularly in light of the trends towards wellbeing, mindfulness and achieving a work/life balance. These are all areas of specialism at Espa Life.”
