The first make-up school in the South West of England is set to open its doors this October.
The Bath Academy of Media Make-up (BAMM), founded by creative director and London based media make-up artist, Melanie Crump, is to offer make-up courses for students living in the South West of England.
The BAMM courses span from traditional fashion shoot make-up through to bridal and air-brushing. There are also courses in prosthetics, special FX, body art, and camouflage, where tutors will be working with surgeons from the charity, Changing Faces.
Hair is also covered and ranges from a barbering and haircutting course, to wig making and Afro Caribbean hair.
Class sizes are limited to a maximum of 12 students and courses run from one day up to 15 weeks.
Crump said: “I wanted to provide an opportunity for the increasing amount of people serious about studying for a job in media make-up, but not wanting to travel to London or Manchester, or live away from home.”
