Gran Hotel Miramar to soft open in Malaga in early 2017
The luxury Gran Hotel Miramar in Malaga is to softe open early next year, following a large-scale renovation project.
Situated in a 90-year-old building, the hotel, which has undergone a €65 million (£55m) refurbishment, will feature 200 rooms and suites. Facilities will include a 600sq m spa that spans two floors and is scheduled to open in February.
The spa will feature six treatment rooms, including a couples’ suite, and a thermal area with a Finnish sauna, whirlpool, hammam, salt therapy room, ice fountain, experience showers and indoor and outdoor pools.
The spa will also be offer a relaxation area and a gym and will provide treatments by French skincare brand Sisley. Among other hotel amenities are five restaurants and bars, 19 function spaces, a ballroom and private hotel gardens.
Original features restored during the recent renovation include Moorish carved wood arches, Andalusian tiling, stucco ceilings and hand painted frescoes. The full hotel opening will be in April 2017.
