Grayshott Spa to focus on medical wellness following sale to Lanserhof
Renowned UK destination spa Grayshott Spa is to strengthen its focus on the medical wellness sector following its acquisition by Austrian spa group Lanserhof.
Joint owners The Lanserhof Group and private real estate company London and Regional Properties (L+R) bought the destination spa this month and will continue to operate it under the Grayshott Spa name.
The new owners plan to focus on developing and solidifying the spa’s health care programmes for injury and illness rehabilitation and wellness issues, such as weight loss and digestive cleansing.
The Lanserhof team is also planning a thorough refurbishment of Grayshott, which features 36 treatment rooms.
In a statement, Lanserhof said employees at Grayshott Spa will “have the opportunity to receive further training to get acquainted with the new concept”.
Austria-based Lanserhof is famed as a spa-style medical institution based on the Lans Med concept of naturopathy and modern medicine. It has properties in Lans, Austria, and Hamburg and Tegernsee in Germany.
Grayshott’s staff will have the opportunity to train in the concept. “Comprehensive refurbishment” of the estate will also take place, further details of which will be released in due course.
