Happy New Year – here's what's new from Professional Beauty in 2021

I think we’re all hopeful for a happier new year, and as the clock struck 12, all of us at Professional Beauty Group were raising a toast to the inspirational beauty, spa, nails and aesthetic businesses across the UK that have shown incredible strength, resilience and above all support for one another throughout an extremely challenging 2020.

Coronavirus put the brakes on so many plans this year, and we can’t wait to see you back at our physical events in 2021 as the situation improves and restrictions are lifted. We have huge plans for the shows and awards this year – we have a lot of time to make up for, after all! So, keep an eye on our Professional Beauty London site for some big announcements.

In the meantime, our first event of the year will be virtual. Professional Beauty World is back – bigger and brighter for 2021 so put February 28–March 2 in your diary now and make sure you join us for fresh educational content and product launches spanning beauty, spa, aesthetics and hair.

As part of the PB World, we have an amazing opportunity for spa professionals to join a mentorship programme to receive one-to-one and group coaching from renowned spa leaders such as Accor’s Emlyn Brown, Hilton's Louise Moore and Kent Richards of Six Senses.

This is also traditionally the time of year that we explore the trends set to shape the industry over the next 12 months, and while it’s harder than usual to make predictions, we’re anticipating a renewed focus on sustainability in 2021. With Covid having caused a sharp increase in PPE and other disposables for hygiene reasons, our lead feature in the upcoming January issue of Professional Beauty explores how to improve your carbon footprint – without increasing costs or compromising on safety. You can stay in the know on this and all the upcoming trends by subscribing to receive the magazine every month, and of course keeping in touch with us via our free newsletters, website content, webinars and social media channels (including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter) in between.

Very best wishes for a brighter and successful year ahead.
