Julia Carta named The X Factor make-up artist

Julia Carta has been announced as the official make-up artist for ITV show The X Factor. Carta is part of a new style team for the 2012 show, tasked with creating trend-setting looks for this year’s finalists.
She will be joined by hairdresser Jamie Stevens and stylist Frank Strachan. The team will begin working with the show's finalists this week.
Carta is an international celebrity make-up artist and has worked with celebs including Britney Spears, Sharon Stone, Bruce Willis, Kiera Knightly, Colin Firth, Dame Judi Dench and Sir Michael Caine.
She is currently Simon Cowell’s make up artist in the UK and has been working with him for almost a decade.
Carta said: “I’m delighted to be chosen as the lead make-up artist working alongside the contestants on the new series of The X Factor. I will be creating some incredible looks for the contestants, so watch this face!"
