Lanserhof group launches into the UK and appoints Sheila McCann country general manager

Celebrated medical spa group Lanserhof has announced an expansion into the UK market, and the appointment of Sheila McCann as country general manager

Leading health and wellness destination group Lanserhof has partnered with London’s private members’ club The Arts Club, located in the heart of the capital. 

The partnership will see the award-winning Lanserhof operate a medical gym as part of the club’s premises – scheduled to open at the end of this year.

The medical gym will be located across the road from The Arts Club, which dates back to 1863, in the building that formerly housed iconic fashion destination Dover Street Market.

The medical gym will offer treatments and services by doctors from Lanserhof’s renowned facilities in Austria and Germany: Lanserhof Lans, Lanserhof Tegernsee and Lanserhof Hamburg. 

In keeping with the Lans Med Concept that underpins the group’s approach to health and wellbeing – centred on the philosophy of Modern Mayr Medicine –the new London medical gym will offer a personalised approach to wellness that blends holistic methods with state-of-the-art diagnostics. 

Facilities’ will include consultation and treatment rooms, fitness studios and cryotherapy chambers and a café with a menu based on the strict and specific Mayr take on nutrition. 

The Lanserhof group has also acquired the prestigious Grayshott Health Spa in Surrey, with new UK general manager Sheila McCann overseeing both projects. McCann was previously general manager of world-famous wellness destination Chiva-Som in Thailand.

With more than 35 years’ industry experience, McCann’s background also includes five years as corporate director of spa for Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.

Lanserhof’s UK plans include a restructuring of the Grayshott offering, with a strong focus on medical wellness. Grayshott will, however continue to operate under its existing name.
