Lava Shells launches college ambassador programme

Lava Shells has launched a Brand Ambassador College programme that will allow tutors to train students in the heated massage technique for the first time.

Distributor Shared Beauty Secrets (SBS) has previously not allowed anyone outside the company to be a trainer in the treatment but is looking to sign 50 UK colleges to the programme.

Tutors signing up to the scheme must be qualified in massage and hold a teaching qualification. After training in Lava Relax massage, lecturers will complete a “Train the Trainer” day, which will licence them to carry out Lava Relax training.

“We think it will give colleges a competitive edge and help them attract more learners,” said SBS managing director Clare Anderson, adding that the cost to the college for set up, launch and the first term of learners would be just over £1,000.

Lava Shells has also expanded its industry presence in recent weeks, signing key accounts including Celtic Manor in Wales, HIlton Syon Park in Middlesex and Lifehouse Spa in Essex.
