Linda Higgs joins Auberge to launch Fort Lauderdale spa

Linda Higgs has joined Auberge as spa director of its Auberge Beach Residences & Spa Fort Lauderdale, US,due to open this autumn with a two-storey spa.

Higgs joins from The Spa at Shula’s in Miami Lakes, US, where she oversaw spa operations and marketing for more than a decade. She is also vice chair of the advisory board for the Florida Spa Association.

At Auberge she will look after all aspects of operations, staff management and treatment protocol.

Auberge’s Fort Lauderdale property will feature guest residences, restaurants and a spa located directly on the beachfront. The property will run a personalised concierge service to help residents access social experiences and cultural events in Fort Lauderdale and the local area.

The spa will measure more than 930sq m and will host a full-service salon, four massage rooms, two skincare rooms, a body treatment room, plunge pool and sound lounge area, as well as two outdoor treatment cabanas.

Other facilities will include a meditation sound lounge, salt caves, an infrared sauna and experiential cool deluge shower. 

It will offer a wide variety of treatments, from lymphatic drainage massages to an Express Beauty Bar to self-guided vitality ritual programmes.

This will be the 13th spa in the Auberge group, the others located across the southern US states, as well as in Central American countries including Mexico and Nicaragua. 

All Auberge spas offer signature treatments inspired by the local environment, using custom-blended Auberge products.
