Boutique spa to open at Somerset holiday cottage development Windmill Retreat

A boutique spa is set to open in Somerset in May, drawing inspiration from nature and the rural landscape that surrounds it. 

The Elements Boutique Spa, set on the Windmill Retreat Estate, will feature a range of facilities including a sauna, heated outdoor pool, steam room, experience showers and spacious relaxation area, with the interiors made from locally sourced materials such as wood and stonework. 

The spa will also offer a range of Aromatherapy Associates treatments.

Nick Ridgment, owner of Windmill Retreat Estate, said: “We wanted to create a spa where guests can come for a single hour's treatment, a full spa day or an overnight retreat in one our five-star luxury lodges and still have the same result ­– leaving with a sense of pure wellbeing and relaxation.”

Windmill Retreat Estate offers a selection of five-star holiday cottages, with features including outdoor hot tubs, log burners and balconies offering countryside views.
