MCR Development acquires 26 Marriott and Hilton hotels in North America

MCR Development has purchased 26 Marriott and Hilton hotels in North America from Western International for US$340m (£209m). The hotels, comprising 3,002 rooms across four states, will continue to operate under their respective Marriott and Hilton brands.
Tyler Morse, chief executive of MCR Development, said: "We are excited to expand our partnership with the Marriott and Hilton brand families. The Western International hotels are built to a very high standard, and stand out amongst the competition. This investment provides great growth opportunities for our company to expand into new markets.”
MCR Development currently operates 56 properties under nine different brands across the US. The company is present in 15 states, with a total room portfolio of 7,000 and approximately 2,000 employees.
